Weather Blamed for Cell Service Outage

The thunderstorms and lightning across the area early Sunday morning provided more than a breathtaking lightning display. The storms also knocked down a cell tower in north Kirksville causing some US Cellular customers to be without cell service for about 7 hours. The service was down north of town, while the south of town had no such problems. Most of the problems were fixed by Sunday afternoon. Forecasters say tonight we have another chance for severe weather.
