As JR Hobbs, the attorney for the former Kirksville dentist works on Barber’s appeal, Barber will be in Venice, Florida for a couple of weeks. Its the second request that Barber has put in and had granted to leave Adair County. Missouri Attorney General’s Office last week argued that Barber was a flight risk, but after the ruling came down, it had no comment. Barber got to go to Kansas for the holidays to see family. He was convicted of tow counts of felony tampering with a witness last year. The jury said Barber paid off parents not to testify against Tom Oswald, who later pleaded guilty of abusing their child. Barber’s out on a five thousand dollar bond while his case, for which he got two five year sentences, is appealed.
Arnold Barber is again getting time off from being a convicted man.
