After a six-day trial, a jury convicted two people in a murder-for-hire plan of a man in Adair County. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Elain Kay Young and Katherine Mock were convicted of chares conspiracy to commit murder for hire, and murder for hire. They were accused of planning, and causing the murder of Young’s husband, Melvin Griesbauer in 2006, so that Young could collect insurance money. Both women are facing life in prison. Sentencing will be at a later date.
