Disaster Drill Tomorrow, Volunteers Still Needed

Tomorrow’s disaster drill at AT Still University still needs volunteers.

The Disaster Awareness Response Team along with local and state emergency managers are taking part in a statewide disaster simulation. But they need about 300-people to play-act as victims, in order to make the drill more realistic. They really need more kids, but organizers say they’ll take about anyone. One thing, first: you have to preregister online. Do that at www.atsu.edu/signup.

Then you’ll need to show up at the Thompson Center between 5:45 and 7:30 tomorrow morning. You’ll be put in makeup to mimic the injuries you’re supposed to have, so be sure and tell them if you have a latex allergy. The drill is actually from 8 until 3, and those who aren’t participating can still come and watch.
