An accused thief turned to Craigslist to try and unload the saddles which had been stolen earlier this week, and that led police to set up a sting to arrest the Kirksville man. Macon county authorities worked the theft case earlier this week. They say six saddles were reported stolen in Excello on Monday. Tuesday, the owners saw an ad on Craigslist trying to sell several of them. Macon county deputies and Moberly Police set up the sting, arranging to meet 33-year old Randall Perkins at the Moberly Wal-Mart. When he arrived to make the transaction, Perkins was arrested. he’s currently held in the Macon County jail on a 9-thousand dollar bond. He faces two counts of 2nd-degree burglary.
