One Dead in Sunday Crash

One teen-aged boy is dead, while several others were checked for minor injuries following a single-vehicle crash last night in Randolph County.

Troopers say 17-year old Cameron Hackley was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, the intersection of Route B and Highway 63. Hackley was riding in a 2002 Jeep driven by a 15-year old Macon boy which lost control about 8pm Sunday. Troopers say the driver was southbound when he lost control, flipping the Jeep several times as it went through the median before coming to rest on its top. The driver and two other teens riding in the Jeep were taken to area hospitals by ambulance, their injuries listed as minor. Hackley is the first person to die on northeast Missouri roads this year.
