Local high school to be honored for seat belt usage

Adair County R-1 High School tonight will be honored for its efforts in seat belt usage. The school tonight will get a check from American Family Insurance for $500, for winning regional honors for the most improved seat belt usage of almost 153%, from the first to last seat belt check. The presentation will come during a break between the girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball games at the school. The high school also will get a plaque from the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety for their participation in the program, and the school will get a silver banner for their seat belt usage of about 97%.
