An author and speaker on higher education reform will be serving as the 2013 commencement speaker for truman state university. Commencement ceremonies are planned for 2 p-m on May 11th, at Stokes Stadium. Paul Gaston the third – trustees professor at kent state university in ohio – will give be speaking. gaston teaches graduate seminars in english literature and higher education administration… he was one of the four authors of “The degree qualifications profile,” and with that, has had a key role in defining what academic degrees mean in terms of learning outcomes. Truman expects more than 11-hundred students will receive degrees at the ceremony on the 11th.
