Road Work Set for Adair, Macon Counties

MoDOT plans work on several Adair and Macon County roads in the near future. Bridge maintenance work starts today on Route 6 in Adair county, as crews flush bridges along the highway. Expect single-lane traffic if you come upon a bridge while they’re washing it. Single-lane traffic starts today on the Route 149 bridge across Shuteye Creek and on Route J at the Chariton River Bridge. There will be a 10 foot width restriction in both locations. Monday and Tuesday, bridge flushing will reduce traffic to a single lane on US 63 at several locations.

In Macon county, work on Business 63 is scheduled next Thursday. There will be one lane traffic between Vine Street and Southeastern Drive in Macon for shoulder work. On US 36 traffic will be reduced by one lane the week after next from Route K to Route W at various locations in the east and westbound lanes for bridge flushing.
