OATS Opens New Facilty in Macon

OATS, the regional transportation service, has a new facility in Macon. Officials celebrated the new place with a luau yesterday. OATS helps thousands of people in Missouri get to work, doctor appointments, the grocery store and more. The building, which cost more than$2.5 million, was funded primarily through the stimulus act. The organization serves 16 counties in northeast Missouri, 87 statewide. The new facility has a training space, break room, bus wash and secure parking for the buses.
