Last Person Sentenced in Multi-State Drug Ring

Lewis county and federal authorities say the end has come to an investigation and prosecution of a large meth-making ring. In a release from Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish, we learned yesterday that Felecia Shults of Ewing was the eleventh person to be sentenced in connection with the case that started more than three years ago. All eleven were busted in 2012 on meth-making charges, following a three-year investigation that found the ring involved in meth making and distribution in three states. All eleven pled guilty to reduced charges as part of an agreement with federal prosecutors. Shults, for example, will serve a seven-year federal prison term.
