Compton Charged in Woody’s Burglary

A Kirksville man is in jail after police said he tried to sell things that had been stolen. Tyler Compton was arrested after police were called to Perfect Metals. Court records indicate he’d been trying to sell several items. Compton said he found the items behind a building north of Woody’s Tire and Auto. However, police noted very clear shoe prints inside Woody’s, matching the tread of Compton’s shoes matched the tread pattern of the shoe prints at Woody’s. He faces two felony burglary charges, and is jailed on $25-thousand cash-only bond.
