He’s Okay! Authorites Find Man Reported to Have Been Hit by Train

Scotland County authorities are glad this case turned out as it did. A 45-year old man from Knox county was found safe at home after a train engineer reported hitting him as the train passed near Gorin. A BNSF Train Engineer told the sheriff’s office he was sure the train had hit the man. When a tip led authorities to the man’s home, he told deputies he didn’t think the train was that close. The engineer’s thought that he’d hit a man stopped train traffic for two hours Wednesday night and led to an extensive emergency response. Authorities are withholding the man’s name.
