Truman World Record Attempt

Truman Students hope to break a world record involving pies.

The current record for the world’s largest shaving cream pie fight is 865 people. Truman State students are aiming to beat that record with 1,100 participants. They are hoping to not only break the record, but to also raise money and awareness for The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri. The world-record attempt will be hosted at the field next to the large parking lot at the corner of Franklin and Patterson on Friday, October 2nd. The entry fee will be either $2 or two non-perishable food items. The Greek Life Office, Center for Student Involvement, and the Serve Center at Truman State University will be officiating the breaking of a Guinness World Record.

The world record event will be paired with Oktoberfest, which is taking place earlier in the same day. Participants in the world record may either choose to sign up at Oktoberfest and be able to skip the line or sign up as they enter the record breaking area at 6:00 pm.
