Tree Planted in Memory of Student

A very special tree has been planted at Ray Miller Elementary in Kirksville. The tree was planted during a ceremony yesterday afternoon in the memory of eight-year-old Scotland Clark, a student at the school who passed away this month last year. During the ceremony, a Ruby Falls RedBud Tree was planted outside the elementary school’s third grade wing. Pink, purple and white balloons eswere also released. Scotland was born in January of 2006 with Down Syndrome and a heart murmur.
