Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic Thursday NEMO Fairgrounds

The Adair County Health Department is making it easy to get your flu shot.

The health department’s annual drive-thru clinic will be held this week. They’ll have about 2,000 doses of the flu vaccine available for free for residents. The annual event will be from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday at the NEMO Fairgrounds. You’ll enter the fairgrounds from Patterson Street to the south and emergency personnel will direct vehicles to the distribution tent. Before exiting the fairgrounds, you’ll be given information about your vaccine and get a quick check for negative reactions. Before arriving at the fairgrounds to get your vaccine, you can complete a consent form that’s available on the Adair County Health Department’s website:

Remember to wear short sleeves or loose-fitting clothing as you’ll be getting a shot, and bring any Medicare or Medicaid cards. Call the Health Department with questions at (660) 665-8491.
