1Another GOP Declares For Governor’s Race

There’s another Republican candidate who wants the state’s top job. Suburban St. Louis businessman John Brunner is making a bid for Missouri governor. He made his candidacy official in a video announcement yesterday. The 63-year-old Brunner is touting his experience as a business leader. He has criticized what he calls career politicians. Brunner s joins a Republican field that includes the state’s Lieutenant Governor, State Senator Bob Dixon, and others.  The only Democrat who has announced his candidacy is Attorney General Chris Koster, but he has not formally entered the race. Governor Jay Nixon cannot seek re-election because of term limits.
