POLICE ATTEMPT TO LOCATE FERAL CAT AFTER BITE CALL

Kirksville police are asking the public to help them find a biting stray cat..

The feral cat/kitten was involved with an incident on Halloween. After the incident was reported, police found and seized the cat, but during transport the animal escaped and was last seen around 9:20 PM in the 600 block of East Harrison. The cat is described as a light black or dark gray cat with some light striping or marbling of brown. It’s an 8-9 week old kitten and appeared hungry. You can see a photo that is is similar to the cat involved in the incident on the Kirksville Police Department’s facebook page to get a better idea of its color. Police hope to locate the animal to help determine the course of medical action for the victim of the animal bite. Anyone who see’s the cat is asked to contact Kirksville Police.
