Harriet Beard Highway Naming Ceremony

The Harriet Beard Highway naming ceremony is coming up this month.

State Representative Nate Walker worked to create a bill to have a portion of Highway 63 in Adair County designated the “Harriet Beard Highway.” It’s the portion of Highway 63 from the Adair-Macon County line to the northern border of the city limits of Kirksville. Walker says the designation recognizes one of Kirksville’s most gracious citizens who has tirelessly worked for better and safer highways, community betterment, economic development and many other important causes to make Kirksville, Adair County and northeast Missouri a better place. The naming ceremony is Sunday, November 15th, 2PM, at the Dr. Ruth Warner Towne Museum and Visitors Center on the Truman State University Campus. You’re asked to RSVP to pr@truman.edu.
