11-26-15-Macon R-I Schools to Ask Voter to Pass Bond for Improvements

Macon R-I Schools ask voters once agan to approve a bond levy to fund needed improvements to the district’s campus. The school board decided to ask for the $13.65 million bond levy during their meeting this week. The money would be used to make improvements to the district’s campus. School board president Donny Wyatt says the campus needs a storm shelter to be placed in between the middle and elementary schools. The district would like to build new entrances for the elememtary and high schools. The money would also allow the district ot add new classroom space to the elementary school and career center.
