Power Line Hearing Date Change

Change in the dates for a state-hearing on a controversial power line.

It’s a hearing on the Mark Twain Transmission project. Ameren wants to build the line — 100 miles long — with a substation in Kirksville. There’s plenty of opposition to it, and a group fighting the project asked for a delay in the Decmber hearing before the Missouri Public Service Commission — and the Commission agreed. So now the hearing will be held January 25-29. The new hearing date was requested by Neighbors United a group of landowners who believe the power line will drive down their property values.
