Governor Makes Appointments Including 1 from Kirksville

Governor Nixon makes board and commission appointments over the weekend, including one from Kirksville.

The appointments were made Friday and among them—Tish Tjitske Tubbergen-Maglio, of Kirksville, to the State Committee for Social Workers. The State Committee for Social Workers protects Missourians through the licensing of licensed clinical social workers and baccalaureate social workers and assessing their competence to practice, and investigates all complaints against its licensees in a fair and equitable manner. Tubbergen-Maglio is licensed clinical social worker who obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from the University of Missouri. She works in private practice and also serves as clinical coordinator of the Intensive CPRC Program and as a qualified mental health professional at Preferred Family Healthcare in Kirksville. Tubbergen-Maglio has worked in social work and counseling in Kirksville for 20 years. The Governor has appointed her for a term ending Oct. 23, 2017.
