NTSB Takes Over Investigation in Chariton County Plane Crash

The National Transportation Safety Board has taken over the investigation of a plane crash that killed two people.

The crash Sunday night in Chariton County involved a1946 model Cessna 140 single-engine airplane. The plane went down in a hayfield, about 8 miles northeast of Keytesville. Both occupants of the plane were pronounced dead at the scene. 40 year old Andrew Beautte, of La Plata was believed to be the pilot and 38 year old Dawn Harl, of Des Moines was his passenger. The NTSB says it may be several months before the cause of the crash is determined.
