Kirksville Working on Expansion Deal with Kraft Heinz

Kirksville Regional Economic Development, Inc. and the City are reportedly working with the Kraft Heinz Company on a possible expansion of the local facility. The cost of the expansion project is $229 million, and would be funded by bonds. The Kirksville City Council would have to approve the use of bonds, and a public hearing about it will take place at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 21st at Kirksville City Hall. The city has also submitted an Infrastructure Community Development Block Grant application to the Missouri Department of Economic Development to help fund infrastructure as part of this project.
