Missouri State Highway Patrol Increasing Enforcement

Missouri State Highway Patrol is increasing enforcement. This weekend, officers will be participating in the ‘CARE Lifesaver Weekend.’ It’s a program with the goal of stopping motorists from driving impaired this holiday season, and to reduce injuries and deaths caused by impaired drivers. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 14 people were killed in traffic crashes on Missouri roadways ast year during the holiday season. Law enforcement also encourages everyone to buckle up. Statistics show 63 percent of all people killed thus far in the state of Missouri in traffic crashes have not had their seat belt on.
