Kirksville Man Gets 10 Years for Armed Robbery

A Kirksville man has been sentenced for an armed robbery. 33-year-old Brian Fry was arreseted by Kirksville Police following an investigation into the robbery at the Express Mart in Kirksville on St. Patrick’s Day. Fry demanded that clerk to give him cash from the register and then ordred the employees to go into a storage room. When he left, he also robbed a woman of her purse in the parking lot. She was in her car waiting to pick up an employee. The Adair County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Kirksville Police were involved in the investigation. The robbery was recorded on surveillance video, and Fry was arrested the next day. The robbery victms were able to positively identify Fry as the robber. This week, Fry pled no contest to the armed robbery charge, and was sentenced this week to 10 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
