Wrongful Dealth Lawsuit Refiled in Knox County

A wrongful death lawsuit has been re-filed in Knox County.

The lawsuit is in connection with a shooting death in 2012. Glen Head of Novelty, was acquitted in 2014 on a charge of second-degree murder, in the death of Bill Bacon, also of Novelty. Head claimed he shot Bacon in self-defense following an argument. Head was then named in a civil suit by Bacon’s family in 2013.

Just recently, Donald Roper of Newark, was added to that lawsuit. Roper was allegedly called to the scene by Head after Bacon was shot. The suit alleges that both Head and Roper failed to provide proper first aid to the victim, even though both were trained to do so. The lawsuit has been filed by the sons of Bacon: Raymond, William and Robert.
