KPD Look for Dog in Bite Incident

The Kirksville Police Department is searching for a dog following a recent attack.

According to a press release from KPD, a woman was bitten by a dog Thursday afternoon while walking her dog in the area of Scott and Stanford. The women told police the second dog approached her aggressively and while attempting to protect her own dog, she was bitten by the second dog. Kirksville Police and Animal Control are currently attempting to locate the dog involved in this incident. If the dog is not located and it cannot be confirmed that the dog has all of its immunizations, the women may be subjected to painful medical treatment. The dog was described as a small terrier, slightly bigger than a Chihuahua, and is black and white in color.
