Nixon Flooding Recovery

Governor Jay Nixon reports significant progress in Missouri’s statewide effort to recover from historic flooding.

Nixon announced this week significant progress in Missouri’s recovery from historic flooding on two fronts: debris clearance, and getting recovery money flowing to thousands of Missourians who suffered damage to homes and property. The Governor said 96 percent of identified flooding debris has been cleared from neighborhoods in the St. Louis region and that FEMA reports more than $6.4 million in federal disaster assistance payments have already been made to individual flooding victims across the state since his major disaster declaration request was granted.
