Cut Line Disrupts 911 Service in Clark County

911 lines for the Clark County Sheriff’s Office were restored this weekend. Phone service in Clark County, was disrupted starting last Thursday afternoon. It happened when a farmer accidentally cut a fiber optic line. Once the line was severed, people could get through to 911 at the Clark County Sheriff’s Office on a landline from 727 or 754 numbers but if you call \ed on a cell phone, you got a busy signal. Until the line was fixed, the Sheriff’s Office advised cell phone users to call the Missouri State Highway Patrol at 660-385-2132. By Saturday morning, the 911 lines were once again fully operational in Clark County.
