City Council Approvesc2018 Budget on 1st Reading

The Kirksville city Council approved the city’s 2018 budget on the first reading this week. The proposed budget includes about $38.3 million in aggregate expenditures, with about $12.7 million in funding to be used for capital infrastructure. The 2018 budget would be a 5.5 percent increase from the 2017 amended budget, which had about about $36.3 million in expenditures. The second reading of the 2018 budget will be held during the City Council’s meeting on December 18th.
