List of Lawmakers Calling for Governer to Resign Grows

The list of Missouri lawmakers who are calling for Governor Greitens to resign continues to grow after the The Missouri House of Representatives special legislative committee issued a graphic report detailing claims of an unwanted violent sexual encounter by Grietens with the woman he had an affair with. As we reported yesterday,3 rd District State Representative Nate Walker renewed his call for the Governor to take responsibility and resign. He is joined by the state Senate Majority Leader, the state House Minority Leader, Attorney General Josh Hawley, and U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill. Not all lawmakers think the Governor should step down just yet. State Representative Craig Redmon said he is among other Northeast Missouri representatives who want to wait and see what comes of this first. Greitens trial on a felony invasion of privacy charge is scheduled for May 14th.
