Milan Man Faces Felony Charges After Traffic Stop

A Milan man is facing felonies for drug, and firearm possession in Sullivan County. Formal charges have been filed against 48-year-old Travis Von Shaw following a traffic stop in Sullivan County last Friday. He was stopped for expired plates. A search of Shaw’s vehicle uncovered a white crystal substance which was believed to be methamphetamine. In addition, a shotgun was found in the trunk of Shaw’s vehicle. Shaw had a suspended license and is a convicted felon who, by Missouri law cannot be in possession of any firearm. Shaw faces four felony counts.
