KHS Seniors Receive Honors and Awards

Kirksville High School seniors are closing out the year with scholarships and awards..

KHS senior have earned more than $800,000 in scholarships, and $1.8 million in renewable funds. Those achievements were recently honored during a reception at Truman State University.

Additionally, one KHS senior picked up other awards. The Missouri School Board Association and Future Builders Foundation allow high schools to nominate one senior from 17 different districts in the state for the John T. Belcher Scholarship.. Kirksville’s nominee and regional recipient was senior Richard Ma. He also was presented the Missouri Scholars 100 honor, That award recognizes the top 100 seniors in the state through the Missouri Scholars 100 program. Selection is based on a formula involving GPA, college prep rigor, national assessment scores, attendance and leadership.
