City Council Considers Health Insurance Plan

City leaders are considering a health insurance plan…Kirksville City Council members discussed health insurance coverage during their study session this week. Under a plan they are considering, the city would pay 70 percent of the coverage. The Council member would pay 30 percent until a wellness goal was reached, then the city would pay 100 percent. It’s estimated the coverage for the City Council would cost the city a little over $97,000. If approved, current Council members would not be eligible to receive coverage until they were re-elected.
