Rollover Crash in Macon County

A crash in Macon County was caused by a sleepy driver. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, officers responded to U.S. Highway 63, two miles south of Atlanta around 8:40 a.m. yesterday to reports of a crash involving a single vehicle. Upon arrival, troopers learned that 63-year-old Edith A. Bowling, of Lancaster, was driving her car south on Highway 63 when she fell asleep. Bowling ran off the roadway, and her car rolled over. Bowling, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained moderate injuries. She was treated at Samaritan Hospital in Macon.
