Fourth Of July Statistics

A better traffic report for Missouri during the Fourth of July. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is reporting fewer DWIs and total crashes this Fourth of July. Although the counting period is shorter than last year. The following numbers reflect from 6 p.m. on July 3 through just before midnight on July 4. That time frame is significantly lower than last year’s 102-hour counting period. Still the 2018 July Fourth of July statistics show: Crashes – 114,Injuries – 59,Fatalities – 3,DWI – 40 and Drug Arrests – 38. In 2017, there were 172 DWI arrests, 26 fatalities, and 1,072 crashes in Missouri statewide.
