The Lewis County Rural Electric Cooperative Association is preparing to lend aid to Florida as the state begins dealing with the effects of Hurricane Michael.Three linemen and three trucks left Lewistown Wednesday morning in route for Alabama, where they’ll stage until it is safe to travel through the storm-afflicted region. They will go to Quincy, Florida and assist the crews with Talquin Electric Cooperative near Tallahassee. Missouri will send 123 linemen in total to assist, as many surrounding states will likely have their state electric crews busy as they repair local outages.
