Natural Gas Rates to Decrease for Liberty Utilities Customers

Liberty Utilities customers will see a decrease in rates. The Missouri Public Service Commission says the changes to costs for natural gas rates reflect changes in the wholesale cost of natural gas and in the company’s actual cost adjustment factor. Residential customers in the Kirksville District, including Adair, Macon and Schuyler, will see their rates decrease by approximately 26 cents per hundred cubic feet (Ccf) of natural gas, from 64 cents per Ccf to 38 cents.Costumers in the Northeast District, including Clark, Lewis, Knox, Marion, and Scotland counties, will see their rates decrease by approximately 15 cents per Ccf, from 52 cents to 37 cents. The new rates went into effect on December 1st.
