Suspect Charged in Kirksville Robbery

A suspect is in custody for the robbery of a Real Estate Agency that happened on Thurday in Kirksville. 33-year-old Kevin McCormick, of Louisiana, Missouri, was arrested Friday and later charged with first degree robbery and armed criminal action. Police say McCormick was in possession of $489 in cash and had a large black handle knife when he was arrested. Police credit the community for the arrest as tips from citizens led investigators to a vehicle that belonged to the suspect’s father. According to the robbery victim, a male entered the business at 1408 N. Green Street asking for gasoline. He then produced a handgun and demanded the combination to a safe. A second male then entered the business, displaying a large knife. Two men took approximately $3000 cash and personal items.Information about the second suspect has not yet been released.
