Fatal Crash Near Memphis

A man from Memphis, Missouri, died in crash in Scotland County Friday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, 56-year-old Kevin Goosey was driving a Nissan Truck eastbound on US 136, four miles west of Memphis, when he crossed into the westbound lane and was struck by a Peterbilt truck driven by 54-year-old James Siver, of Memphis. The impact caused both vehicles to travel off the side of the road into a ditch. Goosey was pronounced deceased at Scotland Memorial Hospital. Siver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department, Scotland County Fire Department and other county first responders.
