Kirksville Man Gets 20 Year Sentence for Child Porn

A Kirksville man will spend 20 years in federal prison for receiving child pornography. The sentence was handed down by a U.S. District Judge yesterday. According to court documents, Kirksville and Shelbina police learned in September of 2017, that 48-year-old Scott B. Walsh solicited pornography from a 12-year-old boy. Authorities also learned that Walsh, a registered sex offender, had befriended the boy, and given the child presents. The Kirksville Regional Computer Crimes Unit found the video on the child’s cell phone. They also found many text messages Walsh had sent the boy.
