Wind Chill Advisory

A strong arctic cold front blasted into the region last night, putting a stop to the snow, but also bringing dangerously cold wind chills to the area this morning. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect until noon for wind chills as low as 24 below zero. Be on the alert during your morning commute for slick spots, and don’t leave the house without your gloves and hat as the cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Kirksville R-III is on a two-hour delay today due to road conditions and wind chill. Busses will run hard surface/snow routes.
