Kirksville Health Centers Getting HHS COVID-19 Funds

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the Health Resources and Services Administration, awarded over $2,000,000 to 29 health centers in Missouri stemming from the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2020. More than $126,000 of that total is coming to Kirksville via Northeast Missouri Health Council, Inc., which will receive $66,824, and Preferred Family Healthcare, Inc. which will receive $59,220. Health center recipients may use these awards to address screening and testing needs, acquire medical supplies and boost their telehealth capacity in response to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, HHS is making funding for health center recipients in Missouri available immediately.
