Governor Visits Macon to Announce Funding for Broadband Expansion

The Governor stopped in Macon yesterday for a major broadband announcement. The state is awarding Chariton Valley over $897,000 in grant funding as part of the CARES Act to help provide broadband services to people in Chariton, Linn, Macon, and Marion counties. Governor Parson said providing Missourians essential services during this time is one of the state’s top priorities. He said ensuring citizens have appropriate access to telehealth, virtual education, and that they are able to telework is critical and efforts are being made to increase connectivity across the state.
