The district has double-digit numbers of students who have tested positive and 286 students who have been quarantined, and 15 staff members either positive, quarantined or being tested. During the last several days, the High School and Career Center has had over 100 students placed on quarantine due to close contact to a positive student. In response, The Macon R-1 School District’s High School and Career Center starts virtual instruction today. School officials hope to have the High School and Career Center return to in-person instruction on September 28, using the hybrid A and B days.
