Breathing new life into a very old building: the Amtrak Station in LaPlata.
The 125 year old building now has new windows and new brick, plus a new roof and more. Amtrak spent six million dollars on the project. LaPlata draws people from around the region, as a convenient spot to hop on Amtrak, in a train station that still has that historic feel, even though it’s been upgraded.
