Vacation season is here. For many it’s a declaration of independence against covid.
But the Adair county health department says not so fast.
Administrator Jim LeBaron says it’s true that there aren’t that many cases, but the virus is still here, and people are still getting sick. He suggests that if you are elderly or have a health condition that makes you more susceptible to severe symptoms — then you may still want to conside precautions such as wearing a mask.
And the federal government has just opened requests for a third round of at-home rapid test kits shipped to you for free. Just go online and ask for them.
