A Kirksville woman was arrested Friday night in a stolen truck after speeding away from police.
26 year old Jeanne Sumerix was spotted veering into the wrong lane of U.S. 63. But police say that she would not stop for a blue light.
There were sparks seen coming from the wheels of the truck and officers determined it was stolen. Summerix was finally stopped after a Schuyler county deputy used spike strips to flatten the tires.
She’s charged with Tampering with a Motor Vehicle — and Resisting Arrest/Lawful Stop.
