Now that voters approved legalizing pot, many wonder when people in Missouri get to start using the stuff.
The amendment goes into effect on Dec. 8. But shops with weed will not be ready that soon.
The state Department of Health will allow shops that currently sell medical marijuana to transition to a recreational license and start selling to anyone 21 and older. But those transitions may not happen before February, depending on how long the department takes with the licensing process..
